Opt-Out & California Consumer Privacy Act Rights

The California Consumer Privacy Act confers privacy rights for California consumers and imposes corresponding obligations subject to the CCPA.

The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively the "CCPA" or the "Act") confers privacy rights on California consumers and imposes corresponding obligations on businesses subject to the CCPA as described in this section.

California Consumer Privacy Act Rights

The California Consumer Privacy Act confers privacy rights for California consumers and imposes corresponding obligations subject to the CCPA. The rights conferred to consumers include:

  • The right to know what personal information covered business has and how that information is being used
  • The right to delete personal information held by covered businesses
  • The right to stop the use of personal information by covered business
  • And the right to non-discrimination in service when exercising privacy rights.

Right to know/request for access to personal information

As a consumer under the CCPA, you have the right to request that Ad Direct, Inc. disclose what personal information Ad Direct, Inc. has and how it will be used. This is known as your right to know.

You can submit your requests by telephone at (800) 676-3665 ext 112.

To respond to your right to know request, CCPA permits Ad Direct, Inc. to verify your identity. This will require that you supply certain personal information for validation. If you are unable to satisfactorily verify your identity, we will be unable to fulfill your right to know request.

Types of personal information Ad Direct, Inc. collects:

  • Personal identifiers include name and postal address
  • Ad Direct, Inc. does not collect data directly from consumers. Ad Direct, Inc. does not collect biometric and sensory information.

Ad Direct does not sell personal information about consumers younger than 18 for the purpose of marketing or advertising directly to the minor.

Right to opt out

California consumers have a right to opt out of Ad Direct, Inc. acquiring their personal information by third party vendors for mailing purposes only. Click the link below to take advantage of your right to opt out.

Right to delete personal information:

  • Pursuant to the CCPA, California consumers have a right to request deletion of personal information about them that Ad Direct, Inc. has collected.
  • You have the right to opt out of mailings on behalf of our clients
  • To take advantage of your right to delete, you can submit your request by completing our Opt Out form or via telephone (800) 676-3665 ext 112

To respond to your right to delete request, CCPA permits Ad Direct, Inc. to verify your identity. If you are unable to satisfactorily verify your identity, we will request additional information permitted by the CCPA or provide a limited response.

Right to non-discrimination

The CCPA protects California consumers who exercise their rights from discrimination. Ad Direct Inc. will not discriminate against consumers who request to opt out.

Right to use authorized agents to exercise rights

The CCPA allows California consumers to use authorized agents to submit requests to Ad Direct Inc. on their behalf. Ad Direct, Inc. is required that the authorized agent verify its identity and provide written authorization from the consumer to act on the consumer’s behalf.
